Twitter Alert! Shawne Merriman Dances Crazy

Written by ScottiePP7 on September 21, 2009 – 9:27 PM -

Would somebody tell the camera man to get out my way when im doing the lightsOut dance i almost knocked him over

Really? Have the cameraman stay away from your lights out dance?

Someone should probably tell Shawne that no cameraman could have predicted you would be doing the “Lights Out” dance during one of your 6 tackles, 0 sacks in 2 games.

Most people probably don’t see that as dance worthy. Hey I could be wrong maybe you are very proud of giving up 20 points to the Raiders and followed it up by 31 to the Ravens.

Was Chris Cooley a USC Quarterback Too?

Written by Wille Beamen on September 18, 2009 – 11:33 AM -

In what is fast becoming a disturbing celebration of the male athlete’s body, Chris Cooley chimes in today promoting his newest t-shirts.

See the shirt, buy the shirt, wear the shirt. http://thebigleague.spreadshirt.com/us/US/Shop/

Twitter has a character limit, so I’ll complete the steps for him…

See the shirt, buy the shirt, wear the shirt. Take off the shirt. Take a picture of your hanging hog-ette. Put it on the internet.

I’m not putting any pictures up on this one, but if you’re not familiar with Cooley’s past, check it out here. (The picture is censored.)

Pete Carroll Tweets a Freudian Slip

Written by Wille Beamen on September 18, 2009 – 11:22 AM -

#SOTD green day longview http://bit.ly/15hdTa

It’s ironic that Green Day’s “Longview” is Pete Carroll’s song of the day because it’s actually written about USC fans and their reaction to pictures of their own quarterbacks.

So for the fans, turn on some Green Day and take a gander…

Personally, I like big ugly lineman knocking people over.  But people like football for different reasons I suppose.

Has Retirement Made Bruce Bowen Go Soft?

Written by Wille Beamen on September 18, 2009 – 10:24 AM -

What a great start to my day, Manicure and Pedicure at Yardleys Salon Spa. I feel like a KING!!!!

I’m not gonna knock any guy for getting a mani/pedi.  I was dragged to one once by a girlfriend and it wasn’t so bad.  I sat in a reclining leather chair and watched RV with Robin Williams while some girl practically ground my toes of.

It wasn’t really for me, but if you like it, so be it.

But this is Bruce Bowen.

This is the guy that made millions of dollars for being the guy at your pick up game that you hate. (HATE!).

This guy kneed Steve Nash in the little Stevie Nash.  He straight up Karate-Kid-Crane-Kicked Wally Sczerbiak in the face. (Can’t blame him though, Popovich told him to “sweep the leg”.)

The worst part was that he didn’t ever man up and just get in people’s faces or start fights.  He just stepped under your feet when you took a jump shot.

Now he’s tweeting about feeling like a king at the spa…

In case you forget, here’s some classic Bruce Bowen moments:

Two notes:

1) YouTube should give out licenses that allow people to add title screens to videos.  No license– no text.  Just let me watch the clips please.  (They should also restrict un-funny sports blogs by requiring a license.  But that’s a story for another day.)

2) At 1:44 you get to hear the announcers react to Steve Nash getting hit with a groin shot.  And the guys calling the game are, for some reason, Japanese.

Update: Just a few hours later, Bruce chimed in again with this tweet:

Golfing in Teebone Tee it off for cancer. Great cause, and an excuse for a hacker like me to play!!

Do yourself a favor, Bruce, and don’t refer to yourself as a ‘hacker’.
